ECTA BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINE: TRANSPORT VISIBILITY KPI FRAMEWORK FOR SUPPLIER DATA QUALITY

In March 2020, ECTA published a first version of the best practice guideline for transport visibility within bulk chemicals. In conclusion, this defined transport milestone events and ETx update messages for various supply chain actors. This updated Guidelines takes a look at the KPI Framework for supplier data quality.

The new Guideline defines a shipper view. Moreover, it talks about what messages will be shared. In addition, it shows several views for different logistics service providers to increase end-to-end supply chain visibility. However, this objective of supply chain visibility can only be met when each supplier delivers commonly defined transport milestones and ETx updates in the highest supplier data quality. Other factors are the accurate, complete and on-time provision of data. At any time, the data flow has to follow the contractual relationships of the supply chain actors.

The purpose of this ECTA Guideline is to complete the already published Guideline.
In the next chapters, the scope and objectives of this Guideline are further described. In addition you find definitions of data quality and the corresponding KPI framework for supplier messages.
