Tank Entry guideline - itco

The entry into tank containers remains a high risk activity. Although most logistic services providers prohibit their drivers and operators entering a tank, this practice is still not fully banned. Still seeing that accidents are still reported from time to time.

In July 2020 the International Tank Container Organization ITCO, one of ECTA’s partners, published its Guidelines TG05 ‘SAFE ENTRY INTO A TANK CONTAINER’.

It is our pleasure to share this document regarding the safe tank entry with our members and any other interested parties for their further study.
