women in logistics update october 2025
Women in Logistics ( About WIL) Â is promoting the male-female gender balance within the chemical logistics sector with the aim to address workforce gaps, improve competitiveness, and create more resilient organizations.
Whilst last year, the WIL consortium and board were established as an initial catalyst for change, Â this year WIL evolved with the support of ECTA, into a non-profit association to further grow and unite more chemical producers and logistics providers. This new association now operates independently and manages memberships, ensuring credibility, sustainability, and long-term impact. That said, each company can become part of the WIL movement and become a new WIL member to help in shaping the future towards a more gender balanced industry. With this membership, each company can join one of the 3 dedicated working groups who aim to drive action through webinars, workshops, and best practice exchanges while focusing on their pillar of male-female balanced truck drivers, logistics operators and balanced leadership in chemical logistics.
